No. According to guidance NASFAA has received from the U.S. Department of Education (ED), schools and states will not receive the student's answers to the race, ethnicity, and gender questions on the FAFSA. These answers also will not appear on the Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR). These answers will not be used in any aid calculations nor affect a student's aid in any way; they will only be used by ED for research purposes.
