How Long Do We Have To Report Disbursement Data To COD After School-Initiated Corrections Become Available?

Award Year: 2024-25 KA-36991 Helpfulness Rating 83 page views

This guidance is specific to the 2024-25 award year and later.

After the school-initiated batch corrections process becomes available, the school will have 30 days to submit disbursements and disbursement corrections in the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System. NASFAA has confirmed with the U.S. Department of Education (ED) that the 30-day clock starts when the batch corrections process becomes available, not when the individual corrections process becomes available.

Unfortunately, NASFAA does not yet know when batch corrections will become available to schools. According to the May 10, 2024 Electronic Announcement (GENERAL-24-56), schools will be able to submit corrections via the FAFSA Partner Portal (FPP; formerly FAA Access) by the end of June. The FPP will allow schools to submit individual corrections electronically by entering the data manually in the FPP. Batch school corrections via the Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) will be available in the weeks following FPP corrections.
